Autonomy & collaboration are core factors of how this business operates, so they are looking for someone experienced, hands-on, and with an in-depth understanding of all things paid media.


The Role;


We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced digital marketer to take our paid search and social offering to the next level as paid media lead, you’ll be employed in a key role for the business where you’ll be managing a talented, well-respected, and growing team across a diverse portfolio of brands to help our client deliver clever, engaging campaigns fully focused on ROI. You will spearhead best-in-class Paid Media strategy, automation, and implementation across Paid Search & Paid Social. You will lead a dedicated team of paid media specialists and will work alongside other team leads across the business to achieve clearly defined objectives as agreed with the Senior Management Team.


Key responsibilities

● Managing the paid media team - a mix of paid search and paid social strategists

● Leading and owning paid media strategies for key accounts

● Establishing paid media opportunities for new accounts & growth of existing accounts

● Communicating progress and success with internal teams and clients

● Supporting the business development team in growing our paid media offering

● Assisting with interviewing, hiring, training, mentoring, developing, and evaluating team members


What does a successful first 12 months look like?

● Successfully retain all current brands and driving growth across key accounts

● Take full ownership of all campaign activation activities for brands requiring paid media services

● Supporting new business efforts to acquire new paid media clients by producing relevant assets and supporting the business development team

● To establish and build a best in class paid media team through excellent communication, and promoting visibility across all accounts, without needing to be involved in the day-to-day management


Your experience and competencies;


● Analytical in your approach to get the most out of campaigns — you’ll be accountable for reporting and optimisation so you need to be comfortable getting deep into the numbers and translating those stories back to their clients

● A well-rounded paid media expert, with demonstrable experience of Google, Facebook, Microsoft PPC, and Linkedin

● A background of working within Google and Microsoft suites is essential

● Great at copywriting, with an understanding of audience and tone of voice — excellent grammar is a must, but a flair for creative copywriting is even better!

● Confident in working individually, as well as part of a team — the day-to-day ownership of client campaigns, will sit with you, so you will need to be able to manage your time effectively

● Organised and agile in your approach to managing your time and workload — they have a number of client campaigns live which you will ultimately be responsible for

● Able to hit the ground running — you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to get stuck in from the offset

● Proactive — you will be responsible for the success of paid media campaigns for their key clients so a proactive approach to optimising, adapting strategy, or coming up with new ideas is key. They work in a fast-paced environment so the ability to take direction and work both efficiently and independently will be paramount.

● Entrepreneurial — they see this role developing quickly as they grow the paid media team and you’ll be coming along for the ride
