The Paid Media Account Manager Role;


The main purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day performance and technical aspects of new and existing clients to grow business GP. The role seeks to overcome technical challenges to deliver on campaign goals and targets.

As Paid Media Account Manager you will have autonomy of you and your pod’s day-to-day priorities but will work closely with the Head of Delivery to ensure we deliver the best account performance, effective technical account management and ultimately ensure retention and revenue growth within your set basket of clients.


Account management:

● Day-to-day collaboration with the Partnerships team, to manage a portfolio of clients.

● Ensure newly live clients are optimally set up and working with the Partnership Account Manager to ensure new clients grow the pods GP.

● Developing next steps for clients to optimise existing campaign activity or open up new paid media opportunities, collaborating closely with the Partnership Account Manager who can then support on selling in together and chasing up these opportunities.

● Develops a strong working relationship with Google, frequently attending Google calls, training events, and seminars.

● Becomes an expert in their Pod’s primary verticals and how they perform on shopping, understanding where we sit in a client’s marketing mix. Seeks out insights reports and wider industry learnings to deepen knowledge about these sectors. Actively identifies opportunities to bring in wider market learnings to inform campaign strategy across a top vertical for their pod.

● Using expert knowledge of primary verticals to work closely with the Partnership Account Manager’s new client acquisition strategy.


Activity management:

● Shared responsibility of the overall GP of the clients within their portfolio, as well as any other performance metrics set by the leadership team in relation to advertiser performance.

● Creation and day-to-day management of clients paid media campaigns and strategy, ensuring optimal setup and running at a profit.

● Create shopping Ad campaigns to a high standard using your expertise to ensure all products/keywords are covered effectively.

● Responsible for manually mapping feeds, should the auto-onboarder fail, and monitoring initial performance to ensure integration was successful.

● Actively monitor campaigns, auditing and adjusting them for maximum performance. Spotting opportunities to expand and experiment campaigns, with support from the Head of Delivery.

● Develop testing plans and new strategies to meet clients’ objectives and internal goals.

● Roll out new features across your portfolio of clients.


Client communication:

● Acts as the main point of contact for all technical aspects of the portfolio of clients they are responsible for, as well as a high level of involvement in all other relevant aspects of client communication.

● Collaborating with Partnership Account Manager in client comms such as attending weekly/monthly calls, QBRs, etc. where appropriate, to ensure all aspects of the relationship are covered when required in these conversations. Where technical issues and solutions are required, leading conversations and creating supporting material where needed.

● Troubleshoot client technical requests to ensure any issues are resolved in a timely manner.

● Recommending feed improvements to the client, with support from the Partnership Account Manager.


Other:

● Highly effective in using Salesforce when managing live accounts etc. ensuring salesforce is consistently kept up to date with accurate account/contact information.

● Responsibility for maintaining and developing Tableau reporting for their suite of clients.

● Shared responsibility with the Partnership Account Manager for analysing and reporting on Pod performance and trends to the Leadership team.


Your experience and competencies;


The role encompasses both active client relationship management, technical campaign management, data reporting, performance, and budget management. Therefore requiring;

● 3+ years managing paid media campaigns (PPC, Shopping or similar)

● Strong experience in leading on campaign optimisation for a set of accounts.

● Highly data-driven approach, able to perform in-depth account analysis.

● Commercially focused, able to spot opportunities and prioritise effectively.

● Organised, effectively able to use CRM to organise workflow.

● Strong preference for collaboration, defaults to “share all”.

● Affiliate marketing tools, systems, and commercials - offers, reporting, transactions.

● Online marketing metrics - ROI, CPA, AOV, Conversion Rate, EPV, EPC, Profit Margin.

● Google AdWords experience Predominantly shopping.

● Client-facing calls.

● Data analytics and client reporting - downloading and presenting data, chart creation, comparisons, and summaries.
